Mining
Zierden has machined a variety of parts for the surface and underground mining industry including castings, fabrications and forgings for draglines, crawlers, shovels and blast drills.
Oil and Gas
Zierden has extensive experience in machining gears, gear housings and cable drums for offshore drilling platforms.
Off-Road Construction
Zierden machines large boom arms, rotary base frames and buckets among other components for earth moving equipment. We specifically utilize our unique 90-degree head and line boring bar tooling for the bore lines on the backside of the buckets.
Fluid Power
Components machined for the fluid power industry include pump assemblies for hydroelectric power plants, water and waste treatment and pumping stations. Parts include suction bells, impellers, diffusers, casings, columns and discharge elbows. We also machine large capacity hydraulic valve bodies and manifold blocks.
Forging
Zierden specializes in refurbishing components used in the forging industry. These include rams, columns, cylinders and piston rods. We have the ability to machine new or repair worn items.
Power Generation
Zierden has machined a variety of gear housings, planetary gear carriers, shafts and other components for the power generation industry. Included are parts for turbine generators such as rotors and diaphragm plates.
Machine Tool
Zierden machines a wide variety of machine tool bases and frames that are used in a variety of heavy equipment industries. These include fabrications, castings and forgings that range up to 40 feet long and provide 80,000lbs capacity.
Railroad
Zierden has extensive experience machining tooling for railroad brake shoes as well as brake beams, angles and channels used in rail yard retarder systems.
