Capabilities & Equipment List
Zierden’s 45,000 square foot facility has a variety of precision machine tools operated by highly skilled machinists. Our machinists have combined hundreds of years of job shop machining experience and use that knowledge to convert raw material into precision machined components ready for assembly.
Turning
Zierden has vertical CNC turning capabilities from 72”-144” swing and up to 120” under the rail. We also have horizontal up to 24” OD and 180” in length
Milling and Boring
Zierden has one the largest CNC horizontal boring bars in the area for precision machining of parts up to 456” x 144” and weights up to 80,000 lbs. We have smaller boring bars up to 156” x 96” with CNC rotary tables and one with a 60 position automatic tool changer for production type work.
Hydraulic Manifolds
Zierden specializes in the machining of large high pressure hydraulic manifold blocks for the fluid power and forging industry.
Gear Cases
Zierden also specializes in machining gear cases and gear housings for a variety of industries including oil and gas, crane, steel, paper and power generation. We also have the capabilities to repair or rebuild existing gear cases.
